It's festival time...
It's not really been a great summer for weather so far, has it? OK, we've had a few good days but more often than not, I have been expecting to meet Noah and his ark coming round the corner as I make my way home from the office. It's lucky then that the Festival is nearly upon us and the atmosphere in the Capital is beginning to hot up. Visitors are arriving from across the globe and well known faces from the entertainment world are here in force. It's a perfect time for people-watching whilst enjoying some delicious coffee and cake from ESPC's Café Citron pavement café (there are seats inside too though if it gets a bit damp!).
As some of you may know, I do like to "tread the boards" a bit
myself so the Festival is one of my favourite times to be around
town. This year there is added interest as ESPC is sponsoring Forth
on the Fringe which takes place at the Playhouse on 6th and 7th
August, and showcases some of the best acts in the
Festival.
And it's not just festival time in Edinburgh. ESPC is also
sponsoring The Bruce Festival which runs from 26th to 28th August
in Dunfermline. This centres on a medieval village recreated in
Pittencrieff Park where visitors can step back in time and
experience the entertainment, crafts, cuisine and general hustle
and bustle of life as it would have been in the 14th Century.
Wandering through the encampment and mingling with craftsman,
jesters, knights, who knows you could even meet King Robert
himself.
ESPC really is the place to be this summer and not just for the entertainment. On 8th September we will be starting up our First Time Buyer evenings again where you can get free advice on buying your first home from property experts and financial advisors. If you are a First Time Seller looking for advice on moving up the property ladder then our free Ask the Experts service which is available in the showroom at lunchtimes is the answer. It's still a tricky market out there but with the help of some expert advice it's not impossible to make the move that you want. So, forget about the weather, get and out and have a great time!
