Moffat is an extremely attractive town in the Annandale & Eskdale region, originally built as Scotland’s first spa town and also historically significant for its wool trade. Today, Moffat is a popular tourist town, just minutes from the M74 on the route from Scotland to England. It’s a picturesque place to make a home, surrounded by rolling hills and the Southern Upland Way, as well as the River Annan which provides plenty of opportunities for fishing. Moffat is also Europe’s first Dark Sky Town, meaning it minimises light pollution at night to optimise opportunities for stargazing.
